We meet again

'Tis a feather in my invisible yet prophetic cap when I get the opportunity to photograph a family more than once (in the 'S' family's case, several times).
Every time I see this family 'K' get's a little taller and 'Z' becomes more of a little man....

THIS is why I love my job.

Being able to capture those 'candid' moments between a family...being a part of that process.

I've never hidden the fact that I do this not because I HAVE to, but because I CHOOSE to.

When I hold my Canon Mark II (just in case you were wondering) in my hands and I am looking through the lens (24-70mm mostly, but I do love my 70-200mm and my 200mm macro for those up close detail shots!) it's like having a blank canvas that I get to create a beautiful piece of art by just the push of a button (I back button focus...I highly recommend this!).

Enjoy the following pics cuz I sure enjoying taking them....

Lightbulb!

Oh! How I wish everyone would do this!!

As of 1/25/13, the now Mr&Mrs 'P' decided to take their wedding photos a week PRIOR to their wedding.

Inspired? I think so...

IT DOWN-POURED on their wedding day (soooooo NOT in SD style!...even if it IS January!!) but we were still able to capture these BEAUTIFUL photos of them which would have otherwise been impossible!

I think more B's & G's need to jump on this bandwagon!!

Just my humble opinion;)

Call me!!

I hope they call me on a Mission!

This brave girl...all of 19 years young...is leaving her friends and loved ones for EIGHTEEN MONTHS to serve a mission for her church (The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints) in beautiful Richmond Virginia!

Good luck to 'Sister S' on her amazing journey...I have a feeling many doors will be opened because of her DYNAMIC personality and contagious laugh;)

ps~ I know I need help w/ my sidewalk chalk art, okay? I am a true Artist (no, I really am. I grew up on the mean streets of Laguna Beach where our HS mascot was....wait for it....wait for it...The Artists. People FEARED us! Outsiders didn't dare look us in the eye for they knew only trouble would ensue!  I mean our band wore FEATHERS in their caps and a CAPE!! It doesn't get scarier than that!! You just didn't mess with...an 'Artist')
It's been a 'few' years now since my glory days, but just like any 'true' Artist, I will never give-up until I am the best!

Fear. Me.

Did I really just go on a rant about sidewalk chalk??

Yes. Yes I did.

Under Construction

Hello my dear Bubba-Loo Peeps!

If you have been stopping by and wondering what in the name of Voldemort is going on here, I have an explanation...

I am trying to update my blog.

TRYING is the key word here.

I'm TRYING to make things prettier and easier to navigate. I'm TRYING to add a little 'pizzaz' and create a uniform and consistant blog.

I'm TRYING not to go INSANE while doing so.

I'm what you call 'Technically Challenged' so there has been a lot of google searching and YouTube watching the past few days...

So hang in there cause things are 'bout to get all crazy up in here....but will {fingers and toes crossed} settle down here in the next few days as I navigate my way through tutorial after tutorial after tutorial;)
