Who wouldn't want chocolate milk for dinner?!

One of my biggest struggles these days is finding new places to take photos. I don’t even want to know how much bigger the ozone layer is because of my constant driving around ‘scoping’ out new locations. Sorry to my great-great grandchildren in advance.

But let’s just say I’ve found my new favorite place. Favorito. Favori. Favoriten. Preferiti. You get the picture. It’s freaking rad.

The only struggle was fighting off all the other photogs who were swarming like flies in the same location! I almost had to pull out some of my kung fu moves, but thankfully {for them!} it didn’t come down to that. What I really need to be perfecting is my, ‘If you don’t beat it I’m gonna beat you’ stare down. Seriously. Other photographers are sooooooo annoying. They just get in my way. That is just unacceptable and I won’t stand for it.

Moving on.

Thanks to the {P} family for fighting the traffic and meeting me there. It was a total shot in the dark, but me likey what we got:)

Just go with it...

Let me paint you a picture:

Laguna Beach on a beautiful Saturday afternoon. I can barely see past all the brides and other families dressed in khaki pants and black polo’s, golden retriever in tow, taking (cheesy) pictures down at the beach (yeah, I said it. sue me). You would think growing up in this town I would have realized this place was a photo opp MAGNET! So what do you do with the family who is coming to take pictures down at said beach???

You improvise.

While waiting for the {P} family to arrive, I noticed this really cool truck. It might work, it might not. Let's just see what happens...

I secretly love the pictures with the truck. I kept waiting for the owner to come out and 'shoo' us away, but we managed to get away with it:) I'm such a rebel!

We finally did make it down to the beach. Once one of the brides and her bridesmaids got knocked over by a wave (I swear, the funniest thing I have ever seen) they were out. One less obstacle in my way.

This was such a fun shoot. This was such a fun family.

I think while I've started doing this whole photog thing I have learned one big lesson...you have to learn to just go with the flow. Things don't always go the way you've planned them. But sometimes that can be to your advantage! So, FYI (are you paying attention?)... If you book a session with me just be prepared for whatever and GO with it! I am so grateful to the {P} family for being so willing to let me do my thang!

X's and O's

All up in your GRILL!

Restoration Hardware meets Surf Shop.

That's the feel you get when you walk into Dr. Hulse's Orthodontics office. Not to mention how freaking rad the staff is that works there. "How?" you say "do I know so much about Dr. Hulse and how awesome he is?". Well, let's just say that I endured almost a year in braces put on by the good ol' doc (did I mention I was preggo at the time? Yeah, I was feeling pretty super about myself!). But now I have this STUNNINGLY BEAUTIFUL (I never said I was modest) smile thanks to the mad skillz of Dr. H.

You will seriously not find a better or more HARD WORKING doc than Dr. H. He seriously is da man.

Basically it comes down to this. I would never recommend or put something on my blog that I didn't truly believe was the real deal. If my opinion means anything, go to Hulse Orthodontics if you're considering braces. I promise you will LOVE your experience, and the RESULTS!!

ps- This is not a paid advertisement (although I think I'm owed dinner or something for taking all these pics) but I did this because I wanted to share this mans talent with YOU!

THE END.

Drum Roll Please.....

Can you feel the excitement?? Can you feel it? Huh? Huh?

I am finally ready to introduce Bubba-Loo's A-dorable customized photo necklaces!

You want to know what the BEST part is????????????

You get one FREE when you book a session with me! (Calm down. I know it's a lot to take in all at once!)

So...when Sally comes up to you at Anthro (freaking love that store. would move in there if i could. maybe I will?) while you are wearing your ridiculously cute and extremely adorable necklace, and says "OMGosh...THAT IS THE CUTEST NECKLACE I HAVE EVER SEEEEN!! WHERE ON EARTH DID YOU GET IT AND HOW CAN I GET ONE??" All I ask is that you mention Bubba-Loo somehow in the conversation.

For example:

"Those are some really 'Bubba-Loo' shoes. Do you think they have them in red?"

or...

"You know that chick at the park the other day? Her blouse was soooo Bubba-Loo."

You catch my drift, right?

Just spread the word. That's all I'm askin'.

**If you would like to order more necklaces, this is the breakdown

-Scrabble Tile Necklace (little wooden square one) : $8.95 ($12.50 w/chain)

-Pewter Necklace (Round & Square) $18 ($20 w/chain)

***My girlfriend makes and sells these necklaces on Etsy! Check out her shop Home Studio!
