{R}amos & {R}ed

Love Ramos House (and so do about a zillion other photogs! grrrrr...) So the plan was to stray off the beaten path a bit. You just never know what you're going to find...

I love the little surprises you get when you just improvise a little bit. It's what makes my job fun:)

When all else fails....

This little cutie wanted NOTHING to do with lying in the grass.

That is until someone handed her an iPhone…

This is what pure bliss looks like.

Pure. Bliss.

Danke! {DAHNK-uh}

A lot of thanks in my heart for soooo many things.

Mostly diet coke. Oh! And those mini pink donuts at Starbucks.

Poles aren't just for dancing on...

It was a breath of fresh air to get to photograph my friend and fellow photog Marta. She is funny, smart, {Polish}...and did I mention the girl is SINGLE??? I have taken it upon myself to find this girl a man. She does not know that this is my devious plan {Muah-ha-ha-ha!} I am guessing once she reads this post she will be onto me, but until then...SPREAD THE WORD! This girl is SO funny and sweet and I just think any guy would be LUCKY to get to spend 5 minutes in the same room with her:)

You know my email. I will be waiting.

XO

-Seriously though, I really just want to be her wedding photographer...so let's DO THIS!

Sugar and Spice

My heart leaps up when I behold
A rainbow in the sky;
Contrariwise, my blood runs cold
When little boys go by.
For little boys as little boys,
No special hate I carry,
But now and then they grow to men,
And when they do, they marry.
No matter how they tarry,
Eventually they marry.
And, swine among the pearls,
They marry little girls.

{W}eeeeeeee.......

This shoot was extra fun cause I got to take pics for a family whose dad I grew up with in 'da hood'. Some people refer to it as the slums, others call it Laguna Beach. Whatever you want to call it, it was a pretty rough upbringing. I mean, sometimes I had to walk FOUR WHOLE BLOCKS to the beach from my High School. DOWNHILL. It was rough. I wore out many a Rainbow sandal walking those looooong four blocks. I like to not dwell on those depressing memories.

SO fun to re-connect with my friend and his A-dor-able family. He's got four kids. He has me beat.

Sucker....

The Ranch, dude.

{This picture is worthy of another post. It's. That. Awesome.}

I love autumn. The weather is a balmy 75 degrees and sunny skies {sorry to anyone who reads this and lives ANYWHERE other than sunny SD}. The thing I love MOST about autumn in SD...NO LOUD MATING CALLS FROM FREAKING PEACOCKS WHILE TRYING TO TAKE PICTURES AT THE RANCH. Whew! I'm glad I got that off my chest.
