chicks rule

Being Spring and all I thought it only proper to have my first post of the season being one celebrating new life!

*no chicks were harmed in the taking of these photos. Although the police did make an appearance. Seems I had 'accidentally' ignored a NO TRESPASSING sign.

It was worth it;)

I have to make a confession...

Whenever I eat Tic Tacs, I have to make goofy rabbit teeth, look at myself in the mirror, and say, "What's up doc?".

It's amazing I have friends. Truly.

But it's a good thing I do, and it's a good thing they make such A-dorable little babies for me to photograph.

Congrats Tiff & Scott for finally getting that boy:) May he learn to kick a soccer ball before he learns to walk:)

XOXO

{M}y work here is done...

…for now.

We went from tummy shots, to labor shots, to newborn shots. This sweet baby has been very well documented for only being a week old.

Welcome to the world precious Charlotte. You are going to be very loved.

Very loved indeed.

‘Froggie-Legs’: (adj) When a newborn’s legs bend into the tummy looking as if they are still in the womb.

I LOVE the Froggie-Leg stage. That’s why when I shoot newborns (that’s another term for photographing them, I don’t actually shoot babies), I INSIST on doing it within the first week after birth. They lose their froggie legs and they never get them back again. Sad face:(

For me who will be having no more children (I fill this void by buying multiple teacup Chihuahua’s), I get so much enjoyment at seeing the LOVE between a new mother (and daddies too!) and their sweet little bundles. There is absolutely nothing in this world that can fill your heart with that much joy (although, I think for me maybe one or two more Chihuahua’s might do the trick!? By then I will be living in a home for the crazies. Call me.)

Enjoy her. Love her. Spoil her to no end.

She is a gift.
